Please read through our policies regarding ordering, payment, rentals, staffing and more. 

Delivery

In most circumstances, local delivery is available for $1.75/mile from our kitchen at 1300 West Waterloo Road in Akron not exceeding 30 miles. There is a $15 minimum delivery fee for those in close range.

Should your order include set-up, need to be delivered hot, or require extra attention, an additional charge will be added depending on time/intensity of needs. Typically, most orders requiring set-up range between $20-$70.

Free pick-up at 1300 West Waterloo Rd in Akron can be arranged with our staff. Please inquire about a specific time.

*Never return equipment to the kitchen without first arranging a time.

If your group is using your own chafing dishes, EEC can provide DROP OFF services only. We cannot be hired to set up without using our own equipment. Should you like to rent our chafing dishes, you must pay for set-up as well.

The Eclectic Delivery Van

Rentals

  • Buffet Equipment (chafing dishes with lids, chafing dish fuel, and serving utensils) —  $20/chafing dish
  • Hot Boxes — $15/each
  • Electric Witch’s Kettle — $10/each
  • Grill Rentals — $150 (this includes propane)*
  • Clam steamer — $75 *
  • Deep fryer — $100*
  • Griddle — $20*

*These items can be rented only when our service staff is hired as well. Client is responsible for any rentals damaged by guests.

Rented equipment that does not require service staff (i.e.: small parties where guests feed themselves from our rented chafing dishes) needs to be cleaned and returned within 48 hours to 342 Deepwood Drive in Wadsworth or to 1300 West Waterloo Road in Akron BY PREARRANGED TIME ONLY. This is a free-of-charge option.

If you would like EEC to pick up the cleaned rented materials within 48 hours, this can be arranged for a fee based on mileage and availability. We do NOT rent out real plates, linens, silverware, tables, etc. However, we always recommend Miller’s Party Rental for these needs as they are extremely reliable.

Hours

Our kitchen provides catering Tuesdays – Sundays and some pre-approved Mondays depending on circumstances.  Office hours vary depending on our events for the week.  However, we typically can be reached any weekday between 9:30a-1:30p.  

Service Staff

Uniformed wait staff is available to serve your special gathering at a rate of $140 per staff member for a minimum of four hours.  The number of staff persons varies according to menu, number of guests, and logistics of the event site.

If an event requires full service, a 15% service charge will be added to the invoice. Like most catering companies, we charge a fee to cover operating costs for things such as extra labor hours accrued from a large event, consultations, insurance, administrative/office staff, unforeseen price hikes, supply issues, inflation, etc.

Gratuity

Eclectic Edibles Catering chefs and staff members work hard to offer our clients exceptional food and memorable service. It is our pleasure to handle the details of events and ensure that the guests are pleased with the food and level of professionalism from our workers.  If you feel our staff has met or exceeded your expectations, a gratuity is always appreciated.  

Menu 

Menu substitutions, gluten-free items, and/or special requests may result in additional fees.

Some menu items require a minimum of 6 or 12 servings for ordering; menu items may be changed based on availability.

We try our best to accommodate gluten-free dietary needs, but please note that they are prepared in a kitchen that makes other items containing gluten.

Food allergies MUST be made known within one week of the scheduled event in written detail.

Special requests will be considered, and pricing, as the need arises, may change at any time.

Retainer Fees, Cancellations, and Payment information:

A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to secure an event date; it will be applied toward the total amount due.  We accept check, cash, Venmo, or credit card. Payment of this $250 requires that you agree to the following terms:  

- An estimated guest count is required 14 days prior to your event date. Adding to your count will be accommodated within 72 hours of your event date subject to various conditions such as food & staff availability. Lowering the guaranteed guest count cannot be accepted once the minimum guarantee is established as our preparation has already begun.

- Balance is due on the day of the event. Cash and checks are preferred; however, Venmo and credit cards are accepted plus a 3% fee.  (If event is particularly large, you may be asked to pay 50% of the balance one month prior to event.)

- A retainer fee can be switched to a different date without penalty only if agreed upon by the Eclectic Edibles Catering staff and if it is more than two weeks prior to the previously set event date.

- A 50% (of total invoice) cancellation fee will be charged to all orders that are cancelled 3-7 days prior to the event.  

- If an event is cancelled less than 48 hours of date secured, the full amount of the invoice less any service fees is still required.
